Welcome to the Drug-Assisted Airway course at AB Tech. The purpose of this course is to ensure EMS providers working under Dr. Stace Horine, have the same shared mental model when approaching and managing patients that may need drug assisted airway interventions. This is in response to NCOEMS's concern of increasing adverse patient outcomes, particularly in WNC, around this procedure.
The course is a hybrid design. Four hours of education will be online. It will consist of recorded lectures followed by quizzes. Each section must be completed before the next section is available. Once complete, you can sign-up for the four hours of hands on application. This portion will consist of skills review and critical thinking application in scenario format.
